The Afro and the Beard
DJ Venus and I had the great pleasure of dj’ing Ecko and DNA’s collaborative birthday party last weekend. The party also featured performances by Malicious, Chico Sinista Diaz and Coolzey along with DNA and Ecko performing rare solo sets. Everybody came with their “A” game but the solo performances were especially fresh. Ecko (formerly of House of M) dropped some brand new uptempo tracks that were surprisingly good….no offense. DNA had the whole crowd jumping with his usual heavy beats and philosophical lyrics. I don’t know what he’s talking about half the time but i know its dope. The crowd stayed thick throughout the night making for an even better experience for all. Well, maybe not for all. I heard a few people had one too many Zima’s.
